Keedac has received a grant from LotteryWest! We are so excited!
On 12 July Keedac hosted Shelley Payne, MLC Agricultural Region, who presented the LotteryWest grant certificate to Vernon Bolton, Chairperson, and Leanne Kickett, CEO.
The grant is for $40,000 and will be used for a program of managerial training for the Board members and senior management.
The training will be provided by the Australian Institute of Management (WA).
Leanne Kickett said “Keedac is setting up new services for the local Aboriginal community, including the community centre which is being renovated and will be open 5 days a week from next year. In the quarter-century since Keedac was founded, the demands on Board members have increased and the Keedac Board recognizes the value in proper training for management, governance, risk, health and safety. We aim to lift our standards to match best practice so that we can make a positive difference in Narrogin.”
Shelley Payne, MLC, said she was impressed by the plans of Keedac to lift its standards and looked forward to seeing the results in the community.
