Our Elder and artist Francis Bolton has continued to provide teaching to a group of our Aboriginal youths in the first half of this year, in a program funded by a grant through Regional Arts WA
The lessons have been about crafting bush timber into indigenous objects, works of art that can be treasured. The photos show the team in the bush, learning how to select and collect suitable pieces of timber, while, back at the Hub, they start on the process of cleaning, shaping and creating the work of art
