NRC welcomed with an afternoon tea!

The start of National Reconciliation Week was marked by Keedac with a welcoming Afternoon Tea at the Keedac Community Hub, 2 Grant Street, Narrogin. It opened with the Welcome to Country extended by Wilmun elder Barry Kickett, following which our CEO Leanne Kickett gave a speech of welcome. Attendees from many organisations in Narrogin included Leigh Ballard, the Shire President. Keedac had put on a large spread of food which was enjoyed by all. In the spirit of the event, about 80 people attended, an equal mix of Indigenous and non-Indigenous people all keen to pursue the reconciliation theme.

National Reconciliation Week 2021

National Reconciliation Week runs from 27 May to 3 June 2021. Keedac is hosting the Opening Ceremony including the Welcome to Country and is providing Afternoon Tea at 2.30pm on 27 May at the Keedac Community Hub 2 Grant Street, Narrogin. Reconciliation takes action” It urges the reconciliation movement towards braver action with more impact.
