Keedac has worked with TAFE and Clontarf College to provide training courses in Narrogin and Northam. Keedac has a need for care workers who have had relevant training and achieved a Certificate in either Mental Health or Community Services. We encourage Aboriginal people in our community to attend training courses and may provide advice and assistance, with the possibility of working for us in future. As we head into the 2022/23 Financial Year (from July 2022), we are pleased to report it’s an exciting time for Keedac! Community Hub

Our new Community Hub is now open at 2 Grant Street, Narrogin, where we are planning on hosting events all through the week, to improve the lives of our local community. Sadly, these plans have been slow to put in place, due to the spread of Covid through the town, but we hope this will soon become manageable so we can put a full program of events on. What are the Keedac services?

Keedac is a not-for-profit Aboriginal Corporation which was set up over 20 years ago with the intent of improving the lives of the 500 or so Aboriginal families in the Wheatbelt region.We are currently funded to provide:NPSM program (National Psychosocial Support Measure) with funding from WAPHA (WA Public Health Alliance)The Thrive program, a joint venture between Keedac and Wanslea, funded by the State Department of Communities, to train public housing tenants to look after their property, manage their finances and keep up to date with rental payments, so that they can keep their property as good tenants.Centrelink Agency operated by…

A big thank you to LotteryWest!

Keedac has received a grant from LotteryWest! We are so excited! On 12 July Keedac hosted Shelley Payne, MLC Agricultural Region, who presented the LotteryWest grant certificate to Vernon Bolton, Chairperson, and Leanne Kickett, CEO. The grant is for $40,000 and will be used for a program of managerial training for the Board members and senior management.The training will be provided by the Australian Institute of Management (WA).
